“Brought my skis to be mounted. Didn't buy them here but did purchase the bindings at Avalanche. Fast, reliable service. Knowledgeable staff and a true skiers kind of shop. I highly recommend their service, expertise and congenial demeanor. A pleasure to do business with!"
"Needed a cane creek 40 headset for my bike build and they had exactly that and found it super quick. Super solid service with lots of other bike parts and sick bikes. Give them a look for your bike needs.”
“The guys were knowledgeable, helpful, responsive and informative and didn't present any of the pretentiousness that runs rampant at bike shops, especially bike shops in tourist towns. Highly recommend.”
“While on vacation in Breckenridge recently, I decided to do some mountain biking. I wanted an aluminum mountain bike to keep the cost down but they were all out. But they gave me a good discount on the carbon bike. They did a great job setting it up for me. Highly recommended!"
“OK, i am loathe to do this, as my secret trail, hike, restaurant, view is not something you give out easily, but these guys are the best. Not just expert bike repairs, not just ontime (before time) but even when it is as busy as it gets....Kudos, great job!"
"Avalanche Sports is a great year round shop with an incredible selection of Skis, and snowboards. Stop in and check out the Ski Logik line that is a local Colorado based brand. In the summer they have high end demo bikes like Yeti, and Santa Cruz Mountain Bikes. The staff is always helpful, and can fix any bike you bring into them."

About Us
Who we are
Many years ago it became apparent that Breckenridge would be our home. We all enjoyed working in both the ski and bike industries, so we "took the plunge" and opened our own shop: Avalanche Sports.
Our experience is extensive. We have run high-volume, lift-side ski rental operations, managed downtown full-service shops, and instructed nationally at the Ski Mechanic Workshop. The three of us collectively have over 60 years of experience working in every aspect of the ski and bike industries. What you can expect at our Breckenridge ski shop is prompt, courteous service, at a tremendous value, provided by owners who have a vested interest in your positive ski experience. We answer the phones here (no automated systems––ever). We fit the boots, adjust the bindings, and tune the skis. The owners are always present.
The three of us believe being an independent shop makes a difference, and you will too. People visit Breckenridge for the unique ski town experience it provides, and Avalanche Sports will only enhance your visit to our town.
Both of our shops are locally owned, locally operated, and locally supported. We guarantee you will notice the difference.
